Dialogue on an equal footing: Germany and Kazakhstan deepen cooperation on vocational education and training
On 29 September, Federal Minister of Education Karin Prien and Kazakhstan’s Minister of Education Zhuldyz Suleimenova signed a Joint Declaration of Intent on vocational education and training at the German-Kazakh Economic Forum in Berlin.
For years, Kazakhstan has been keen to establish closer cooperation with Germany in the field of vocational education and training. The Central Asian country is rapidly developing its training system and is seeking impetus from cooperation with businesses in the workplace, career pathways, sustainability and teacher training.
Federal Minister for Education Karin Prien and her Kazakh counterpart Zhuldyz Suleimenova have now signed an agreement to strengthen vocational education and training, which also includes, amongst other things, research into vocational education and training.
