Strengthening VET, creating perspectives
Many countries are interested in the German Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. Germany meets the high international demand through a broad and diverse range of VET cooperation activities. The film shows why it is important to advocate for VET.
There are many reasons to promote VET globally. VET stimulates the economy: It provides the skilled workers needed for economic advancement and global competition. Moreover, VET strengthens the employability of young people and it contributes to the reduction of youth unemployment. VET therefore improves living conditions, it creates perspectives and it strengthens the society.
Each country has different framework conditions. In collaboration with the respective partner country, Germany identifies common interests and goals. The film “Strengthening vocational education and training, creating opportunities — the international commitment of the Federal Government” explains the objectives of the German Federal Government in international VET cooperation and introduces viewers to the commitment in its partner countries.
GOVET, the German Office for International Cooperation in Vocational Education and Training, has created the film on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The film is available in English, French, German and Spanish.
