Cedefop is an agency of the European Union (EU). It is the EU reference centre for issues relating to vocational education and training.
Cedefop provides assistance in the following areas:

  • Supporting the European Commission, the member states and the social partners in the design and implementation of policy strategies for attractive VET in the EU

  • Support for modernisation of the vocational education and training systems in the member states

  • Strengthening European cooperation in the development of VET policy

  • Development of vocational education and training research – dissemination and documentation of research results, statistical data and policy analyses

  • Networking between policy decision makers, social partners, researchers and practitioners to improve strategies in vocational education and training

The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre supports the development of vocational education and training systems worldwide and fosters regional and international cooperation in this field.
The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training provides assistance in the following areas:
